# How to apply a debit memo to a voucher in CloudSuite Industrial

In CloudSuite Industrial, enter the debit memo for the vendor, then allocate it to the voucher it credits. Pay the balance that is left.

Applying a supplier credit note means recording the credit and allocating it against the bill it reduces, so you pay only the balance.

## The CloudSuite Industrial way

Where to find it: Purchase Order Receiving (DR Return); Generate A/P Transactions (Adjustment)

1. For PO-origin vouchers, open Purchase Order Receiving, find the PO and add the line with the DR Return box ticked
2. Open Generate A/P Transactions, choose Adjustment and pick the voucher
3. Post the adjustment in A/P Vouchers and Adjustments

## Limits in CloudSuite Industrial

- The guide warns never to enter a negative voucher to make a debit memo
- Debit memos for PO-origin bills must start in Purchasing

## Good to know in CloudSuite Industrial

- Non-PO adjustments are entered with Type = Adjustment

## The Pulsify way

1. Forward the supplier's credit note to your Pulsify address. Pulsify recognises it as a credit note.
2. Pulsify flags a credit note with a missing or unknown original invoice, or an original smaller than the credit.
3. Choose the original bill and approve.
4. Pulsify creates the credit note in CloudSuite Industrial against the original bill.

Pulsify connects to CloudSuite Industrial. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do here:

- Pulsify does not handle partial allocation across several bills.
- Credit note handling is limited to the cases listed above.

## Common mistakes

- Entering a negative voucher to make a debit memo.
- Starting a debit memo for a PO-origin bill in A/P instead of Purchasing.
