# How to bulk change account codes on bill records in MYOB Acumatica

In MYOB Acumatica, find the bill records on the wrong account, check the period is open, then recode them in bulk if MYOB Acumatica allows it, or journal the difference.

Bulk changing account codes means moving many bills or lines from one account to another in one go, usually after finding a coding mistake.

## Before you start

- Permission for GL reclassification
- Reclassify Transactions form (GL506000)

## The MYOB Acumatica way

Where to find it: Reclassify Transactions (GL506000); optional Expense Reclassification feature

1. Open Reclassify Transactions (GL506000) and load the posted batches that went to the wrong account, subaccount or branch.
2. Set To Account, To Subaccount or To Branch on each row, or click Replace on the toolbar to change many rows at once.
3. Click Process on the toolbar.
4. Or use the Expense Reclassification feature: a clerk pre-releases the bill and an authorised accountant sets the correct expense accounts and releases it.

## Limits in MYOB Acumatica

- Reclassify Transactions works on posted GL batches, not on a list of bills.
- Expense Reclassification works for bills entered manually and cash purchases. It does not work for bills based on purchase receipts or purchase order lines.

## The Pulsify way

1. Fix the account in Pulsify before approval. Pulsify learns from corrections, so later bills for that vendor follow the new account.
2. For bills already in MYOB Acumatica, make the change in MYOB Acumatica.

Pulsify connects to MYOB Acumatica. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do here:

- Pulsify does not recode bills that are already in MYOB Acumatica.
- Pulsify cannot edit locked periods. Use a journal in MYOB Acumatica.

## Common mistakes

- Looking for a list of bills to recode. Reclassify Transactions works on posted GL batches, not on bills.
- Using Expense Reclassification on a bill built from a purchase receipt or order line, which it does not cover.
