# How to bulk change account codes on invoice records in Sage 300 CRE

Sage 300 CRE's Change Invoices edits one invoice at a time. No bulk-change tool was found in public sources. Enter the vendor and invoice number, change the account and choose Accept Invoice.

Bulk changing account codes means moving many bills or lines from one account to another in one go, usually after finding a coding mistake.

## The Sage 300 CRE way

Where to find it: Accounts Payable > Tasks > Change Invoices

1. Enter the vendor ID and the invoice number (or pick from the list).
2. Change the account, job or cost code on the distribution lines.
3. Choose Accept Invoice when finished.

## Limits in Sage 300 CRE

- Edits one invoice at a time. The Sage help describes no bulk-change tool.
- Changes post to the invoice accounting date. For a closed period, change the accounting date to the current period first.

## Good to know in Sage 300 CRE

- Change Invoices makes reversing entries that net to zero in the period you pick.

## The Pulsify way

1. Fix the account in Pulsify before approval. Pulsify learns from corrections, so later bills for that vendor follow the new account.
2. For bills already in Sage 300 CRE, make the change in Sage 300 CRE.

Pulsify connects to Sage 300 CRE. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do here:

- Pulsify does not recode bills that are already in Sage 300 CRE.
- Pulsify cannot edit locked periods. Use a journal in Sage 300 CRE.

## Common mistakes

- Editing an invoice in a closed period without first moving its accounting date to the current period.
- Leaving Change Invoices without choosing Accept Invoice, so the change is not saved.

## Common questions

### Can I bulk change accounts on many invoices?

No bulk-change tool was found in the public sources, and a community search found none. Change Invoices edits one invoice at a time. That is absence in public sources, not proof, so ask your Sage partner.

### What if the invoice is in a closed period?

Changes post to the invoice accounting date. For a closed period, change the accounting date to the current period first.

### What shows in the ledger after a change?

Change Invoices makes reversing entries that net to zero in the period you pick. Expect to see reversing entries, not a silent edit.

### Does Pulsify recode old bills?

No. Pulsify codes bills before they reach your accounting system. Past bills are changed in your accounting system.
