# How to control vendor bank detail changes in Business Central

Do not change vendor bank details in Business Central from an email. Phone the vendor on a number you already hold, get a second approval, then update the vendor record.

A bank detail change is when a supplier asks you to pay a new BSB or account. It is a common fraud route.

## Before you start

- Workflow permissions

## The Business Central way

Where to find it: Workflows > Vendor Bank Account Approval Workflow template

1. Create a workflow from the Vendor Bank Account Approval Workflow template.
2. Enable it.
3. New vendor bank accounts must be sent for approval before use.

## Limits in Business Central

- It routes accounts for review. A phone callback to the supplier is still your process.

## Good to know in Business Central

- Set a Preferred Bank Account Code on the vendor card for payment lines.

## The Pulsify way

1. Forward the supplier's invoice to Pulsify.
2. Pulsify compares the BSB and account number on the invoice with the vendor record in Business Central.
3. If either differs, Pulsify flags it with the system value.
4. Verify with the vendor by phone before you approve.

Pulsify connects to Business Central. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do here:

- Pulsify flags a mismatch. It does not decide whether the new details are real.
- It cannot verify details a vendor has never had in Business Central.

## Common mistakes

- Creating the workflow from the template and not enabling it.
- Treating the workflow as proof. It routes the account for review and the callback is still yours.
