# How to control supplier bank detail changes in SYSPRO

Do not change supplier bank details in SYSPRO from an email. Phone the supplier on a number you already hold, get a second approval, then update the supplier record.

A bank detail change is when a supplier asks you to pay a new BSB or account. It is a common fraud route.

## The SYSPRO way

Where to find it: Suppliers program and Supplier Amendment Journal

1. In Operator Maintenance, give the activities AP Supplier change, AP Supplier bank, AP Supplier bank branch and AP Supplier bank account number to only a few operators.
2. Turn on the Amendment journals required setup option (Setup Options > Preferences > Financials > Accounts Payable).
3. Use the eSignature AP Supplier changed to record and control changes.
4. Review the Supplier Amendment Journal for bank changes.

## Limits in SYSPRO

- SYSPRO has no built-in callback or second-person approval step.
- Changes made by AP Currency Conversion log as type C, not U.

## The Pulsify way

1. Forward the supplier's invoice to Pulsify.
2. Pulsify compares the BSB and account number on the invoice with the supplier record in SYSPRO.
3. If either differs, Pulsify flags it with the system value.
4. Verify with the supplier by phone before you approve.

Pulsify connects to SYSPRO. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do here:

- Pulsify flags a mismatch. It does not decide whether the new details are real.
- It cannot verify details a supplier has never had in SYSPRO.

## Common mistakes

- Giving the bank activities to many operators.
- Leaving Amendment journals required off, so there is no journal to review.
