# How to import AP invoice records from a CSV into Kinetic

Kinetic loads AP invoices from a file through the Data Management Tool (DMT), which needs its own licence. Build the header and line columns in the order DMT expects, load the file, then post the group.

Importing bills from a CSV means loading many supplier bills into your accounting system from one spreadsheet instead of typing each one.

## Before you start

- Transfer Multiple AP Invoices; BAQ or DMT

## The Kinetic way

Where to find it: DMT (Data Management Tool) > APInvoiceCombined

1. Build a file with invoice header and line columns in the order the DMT template expects
2. Header columns include Company, GroupID, VendorID, InvoiceNum, InvoiceDate, TermsCode and PMUID
3. Line columns include APInvDtl#InvoiceLine, LineType, Description, quantity and extended cost
4. Load it with DMT, then post the group in AP Invoice Entry

## Limits in Kinetic

- Column order matters and a wrong order can give an 'APInvHed record not found' error
- Needs a DMT licence and the DMT version for your Epicor version
- BPMs on invoice entry may not run for imported invoices

## Common mistakes

- Putting columns in the wrong order for the DMT template.
- Assuming BPM controls such as duplicate checks run on imported invoices.

## Common questions

### How do I import supplier invoices?

Load a file with DMT using APInvoiceCombined, then post the group in AP Invoice Entry. Header columns include Company, GroupID, VendorID, InvoiceNum, InvoiceDate and TermsCode.

### Why do I get "APInvHed record not found"?

Column order matters, so match the order the DMT template expects.

### What does it need?

A DMT licence and the DMT version for your Epicor version. BPMs on invoice entry may not run for imported invoices.

### Can Pulsify import a CSV of bills?

No. Pulsify reads invoice documents. Forward each invoice to your Pulsify address and approve it.
