# How to import bill records from a CSV into MYOB Acumatica

In MYOB Acumatica, build an import scenario for the Bills and Adjustments screen and map your file columns to the bill fields. Fill one row per line, keep the same invoice number on every line of a bill, test with a few rows, then import.

Importing bills from a CSV means loading many supplier bills into your accounting system from one spreadsheet instead of typing each one.

## Before you start

- System admin
- Import Scenarios

## The MYOB Acumatica way

Where to find it: System > Integration > Import Scenarios (SM206025)

1. A system administrator creates a data provider for the CSV file on Data Providers (SM206015).
2. Open Import Scenarios (SM206025). Type a Name (up to 50 characters). In Screen Name choose Bills and Adjustments (AP301000). Pick the Provider and the Provider Object.
3. Set Sync Type. Full is the default. For a file source the two incremental types import only when a new version of the file is supplied.
4. Map the file columns to the bill fields and tick Active.
5. Turn on Hold Documents on Entry in AP Preferences so imported bills stay On Hold for checking, then run the scenario with a few rows first.
6. Review the imported bills, then release them.

## Limits in MYOB Acumatica

- Import scenarios are generic, so you build the mapping yourself. There is no ready-made AP bill import scenario.
- The scenario reads dates and numbers with the invariant locale, close to English (United States), unless you change Format Locale. Check day and month on a test row.
- Parallel Processing speeds up large loads but turns off Break on Error and Break on Incorrect Target.

## Good to know in MYOB Acumatica

- Tick Make Visible on the UI and set a Site Map Title, Workspace and Category to get a menu form (Import by Scenario, SM206036) for staff who run the import.
- The Publish to the UI dialog sets access rights: Granted for All Roles, Revoked for All Roles or Copy Access Rights from Screen (the default).
- With Parallel Processing on, the lines of one document always go into the same batch, so a multi-line bill is not split.

## Common mistakes

- Loading a full file first. Start with a few rows.
- Releasing the bills straight after import, before checking them while they are On Hold.

## Common questions

### Does MYOB Acumatica have a bill import?

It has Import Scenarios (SM206025). You build a scenario for the Bills and Adjustments screen and map the file columns yourself. There is no ready-made AP bill scenario.

### How do I stop imported bills posting straight away?

Turn on Hold Documents on Entry in AP Preferences, so imported bills stay On Hold until you review and release them.

### Who can set this up?

It needs a system admin, a data provider and an import scenario.

### Can Pulsify import a CSV of bills?

No. Pulsify reads invoice documents. Forward each invoice to your Pulsify address and approve it.
