# How to job cost bill records in AccountRight

In AccountRight, create each job, tag each bill line with the job using jobs and cost centres and run a cost-by-job report each month.

Job costing supplier bills means tagging each bill line to a job so you can see cost against budget for every job.

## The AccountRight way

Where to find it: Lists > Jobs

1. Create header and detail jobs.
2. Enter the Job on each purchase line.
3. Set job budgets (Standard, Plus and Premier).
4. Run job reports. Use Track Reimbursables to bill costs back to the customer.

## Limits in AccountRight

- Items you track in stock cannot be reimbursed.

## The Pulsify way

1. Forward the supplier's invoice to Pulsify. Pulsify reads every row as its own line.
2. Review each line's account and set the job where it applies.
3. Route bills to the person who knows the job, using approval rules.
4. Approve. The bill is created in AccountRight with each line.

Pulsify connects to MYOB in one click. Approved bills are created in MYOB with the source file attached.

What Pulsify does not do here:

- Pulsify does not split lines by percentage.
- Job reports are run in AccountRight.

## Example in AccountRight

Example Gravel Supplies sends one bill for two detail jobs. Amounts are ex GST.

- Gravel for Job 601: $4,800.00 (Job: 601 Mill Street)
- Gravel for Job 602: $2,700.00 (Job: 602 Park Road)
- Delivery for Job 601: $140.00 (Job: 601 Mill Street)
- Delivery for Job 602: $80.00 (Job: 602 Park Road)

Job 601 costs $4,940.00 and Job 602 costs $2,780.00 before GST. Run a job report to see both.

- Trying to reimburse an item that you track in stock.

### How do I set up jobs in AccountRight?

Go to Lists > Jobs and create header and detail jobs. Then enter the Job on each purchase line.

### Can I set a budget for a job?
