# How to job cost supplier invoice records in S/4HANA

In S/4HANA, create each WBS element, tag each supplier invoice line with the WBS element using cost centre, WBS element and internal order and run a cost-by-WBS element report each month.

Job costing supplier bills means tagging each bill line to a job so you can see cost against budget for every job.

## Before you start

- Project System or Controlling

## The S/4HANA way

Where to find it: Manage Supplier Invoices (F0859) > G/L Account Items or PO account assignment

1. Set the accounting object (cost centre, WBS element or order) on each G/L item.
2. For PO items set the account assignment category Project (WBS element).
3. Report costs from the project.

## Limits in S/4HANA

- Valuated goods receipt for project assignment needs consumption posting V in Customizing.
