# How to run the vendor ageing report in SAP B1

In SAP B1, run the vendor ageing report as at your chosen date. Check the total ties to your accounts payable balance and look at items over 30 days.

An aged payables report lists what you owe each supplier, grouped by how overdue each bill is.

## The SAP B1 way

Where to find it: Vendor Liabilities Aging report

1. Open Financials > Financial Reports > Accounting > Aging > Vendor Liabilities Aging. It is also under Business Partners > Business Partner Reports > Aging, or in the Reports module.
2. In Group By choose vendor or buyer. Set the vendor code range and a Vendor Group or Properties. Pick Control Accounts if needed.
3. Set the Aging Date. It defaults to today. Change it to look at liabilities due next week, for example.
4. Set the Interval. Choose Days, Months or Periods. With Days there are up to four fields (defaults 30, 60, 90 and 120). You must fill the first.
5. Tick Display Vendors with Zero Balance, Display Reconciled Transactions or Ignore Future Remit as you need, then run.
6. On the report choose Age By: due date, posting date or document date. Export.

## Limits in SAP B1

- Documents with an installment show one row for each installment.

## Good to know in SAP B1

- Example from the help: intervals of 20 and 50 days give up to 20 days old, 21 to 50 days old and 51 days or older.
- Future Remit shows open liabilities where the aging date has not yet reached the Age By date. A $100 bill due 1 May with an aging date of 28 April sits in Future Remit.
- Number of Days Outstanding is the gap between the due date and the aging date.
- Translate Leading Currency at Aging Date converts foreign currency documents at the rate on the aging date and not the rate posted.

## Common mistakes

- Leaving the Aging Date on today when you want a month-end view.
- Running it for a vendor range that leaves out some vendors.
