# How to set a price tolerance on purchase order matching in MYOB Acumatica

MYOB Acumatica help describes no price tolerance. The tolerance is on quantity received as a percent of quantity ordered, set on the Vendors form (AP303000) under Receipt Actions.

A price tolerance is the gap between the PO price and the invoice price that you accept without a query.

## Before you start

- Purchase Orders module

## The MYOB Acumatica way

Where to find it: Vendors (AP303000) > Receipt Actions

1. Open Vendors (AP303000) and go to the Receipt Actions section.
2. Set Min. Receipt (%) and Max. Receipt (%). Each is the quantity as a percent of the quantity ordered. Less than the minimum or more than the maximum is not accepted at the warehouse.
3. If you do not set a minimum or maximum, use Threshold Receipt (%). It is the minimum percent of the purchased items that must arrive to complete the order.
4. Pick the Receipt Action: Reject, Accept but Warn or Accept.
5. Tick Allow AP Bill Before Receipt if bills for this vendor can be entered before a purchase receipt exists.

## Limits in MYOB Acumatica

- The tolerance is on quantity received as a percent of quantity ordered. No price tolerance is described in the vendor help.
- When Inventory is on, each bill line with a stock item must link to a line on a purchase order or purchase receipt. Use Add PO Receipt, Add PO Receipt Line or Add PO on the Details tab, or Link Line.

## Good to know in MYOB Acumatica

- Example: Min. Receipt 90 and Max. Receipt 110 on an order for 100 units. A delivery of 85 or 120 units is outside the range and gets the Receipt Action.
- Accept but Warn lets the goods in and raises a warning on the line. Reject stops the receipt of those items.

## Common mistakes

- Expecting a price tolerance. The vendor settings cover quantity received against quantity ordered.
- Picking Accept but Warn when you want receipts outside the range stopped. Choose Reject for that.
