# Multi-entity accounts payable for SAP B1

SAP B1 covers part of multi-entity accounts payable on its own. Pulsify gives each company its own address, suppliers and approval rules, with one login across all of them.

Multi-entity accounts payable means running supplier bills for several companies, each with its own books, from one team.

## What SAP B1 does on its own

Each company is its own database. A user picks the company at log on. Consolidation and intercompany sit outside the core and use SAP's intercompany integration solution, which links separate Business One installations.

## What you need in SAP B1

- One company database for each entity
- Intercompany integration solution for transactions between installations

## Setting it up in SAP B1

Where to find it: File > Log On to choose the company database

1. Create a company database for each legal entity.
2. Log on to the right company with File > Log On.
3. Post supplier invoices in the company they belong to.
4. For trading between group companies on different installations use the intercompany integration.
5. Prepare consolidated reports outside the core.

## Good to know in SAP B1

- Consolidating Business Partner on the Accounting tab can link several branches to one paying head office.
- Each database keeps its own vendors, so vendor data is entered in each one.
- The SAP help describes no built in consolidated view across company databases.

## What Pulsify adds

1. Each company in Pulsify is connected to its own set of books with its own documents, suppliers, approval rules and forwarding address.
2. One login reaches every company a person has access to.
3. Each person has a role per company: Admin, Approver, Reviewer or Submitter.
4. The company menu shows how many documents wait on you in each company.

Pulsify connects to SAP B1. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do:
