# Purchase orders for Kinetic

Kinetic has purchase orders built in. Pulsify matches each AP invoice to the purchase order you raised in Kinetic and shows what is left to bill.

A purchase order is the written order you send a supplier before they deliver, so the bill can be checked against it later.

## What Kinetic does on its own

## Common questions

### How does Kinetic approve a PO?

It compares the net PO total with the buyer's approval limit. Approve in Buyer Workbench or PO Approval.

### Does tax count toward the limit?

Tax already calculated is taken off, so a 110.00 PO with 10.00 tax is tested as 100.00.

### Can POs have a multi step approval chain?

The Epicor help describes one limit for each buyer, not a multi step chain.

### Should every purchase have a purchase order?

Most teams set a dollar amount or a supplier list. Regular small bills such as power often skip a PO and go through approval instead.
