# Supplier price checks for Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct covers part of supplier price checks on its own. Pulsify checks every line against the purchase order or a price list you upload for each vendor.

A supplier price check compares the unit price on each bill line with the price you agreed, so overcharges are caught before you pay.

## What Sage Intacct does on its own

Unit price tolerance flags an invoice price that differs from the PO.

- Compares to the source document, not a separate agreed price list.
- Needs Purchasing.

## What you need in Sage Intacct

- Purchasing subscription
- Match tolerances enabled in Configure Purchasing

## Setting it up in Sage Intacct

Where to find it: Purchasing > Setup > Configuration > Enable match tolerances

1. Tick Enable match tolerances and choose the transaction definitions to validate.
2. Set the Price tolerance percent for each definition.
3. Raise the PO at the agreed price.
4. Convert the PO or receipt to a vendor invoice. Intacct compares unit prices.
5. Lines over tolerance make the document an Exception. A user with permission corrects it or selects Override exception.

## Good to know in Sage Intacct

- The check is against the source document price, not a separate price list.
- Overridden price variances post to the Match tolerance GL account, or by the account mapping in the transaction definition.
- A definition with match tolerance cannot go through approval.

## How to do it in Sage Intacct

### How to check bill lines against agreed vendor prices in Sage Intacct

Keep the agreed price list for each vendor outside Sage Intacct. Compare each bill unit price to the list and query any difference. Update the list when prices change. Full guide: https://www.pulsify.tech/how-to/check-bills-against-agreed-supplier-prices-in-sage-intacct/

### How to set a price tolerance on purchase order matching in Sage Intacct

Yes. Tick Enable match tolerances under Purchasing > Setup > Configuration and set a percent for quantity and unit price. A bill outside tolerance is saved as an exception until someone overrides it. Full guide: https://www.pulsify.tech/how-to/set-a-price-tolerance-on-po-matching-in-sage-intacct/

## What Pulsify adds

1. Upload the prices you agreed with a supplier as a CSV. One price list per supplier, up to 100,000 items.
2. Pulsify checks the unit price on every line of that supplier's bills against the list, by item code then exact description.
3. Lines priced differently or not on the list are flagged.
4. If a bill is matched to a purchase order, line prices are checked against the PO too.
5. The approver sees the flag and decides.

Pulsify connects to Sage Intacct. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do:

- There is no tolerance. Any difference is flagged.
- Pulsify does not track rebates or price history.

## Common questions

### Does Sage Intacct compare invoice price to an agreed price list?

No. It compares the unit price with the source document, the PO or receipt, within the percent you set. It does not read a separate contract or price list.

### Where does a price variance post?

An overridden price variance posts to the Match tolerance GL account if you set one. If it is blank, the account mapping in the transaction definition is used.

### How do I update a price list?

Upload the new CSV. It replaces the old list and open bills are checked again the next time they are opened.
