# Supplier price checks for SAP B1

SAP B1 has no built-in supplier price checks. Pulsify checks every line against the purchase order or a price list you upload for each vendor.

A supplier price check compares the unit price on each bill line with the price you agreed, so overcharges are caught before you pay.

## What SAP B1 does on its own

Business One has no supplier price check or price tolerance. The nearest control is an approval template with a term on document total, which sends large documents to an approver. Prices are compared by eye when copying from the purchase order.

## What you need in SAP B1

- Approval templates if you want a term on document total

## Setting it up in SAP B1

Where to find it: Administration > Approval Process > Approval Templates > Terms tab

1. Copy the purchase order or goods receipt PO into the A/P invoice.
2. Compare the price on each row with the order price.
3. For control, create an approval template for A/P Invoice.
4. On the Terms tab choose When the Following Applies and set a condition on document total or a user query.
5. Assign the stages that approve.

## Good to know in SAP B1

- Business One has no price tolerance setting on matching.
- A user query on the Terms tab can return True or False based on your own rule.
- Any one condition being met triggers approval.

## What Pulsify adds

1. Upload the prices you agreed with a supplier as a CSV. One price list per supplier, up to 100,000 items.
2. Pulsify checks the unit price on every line of that supplier's bills against the list, by item code then exact description.
3. Lines priced differently or not on the list are flagged.
4. If a bill is matched to a purchase order, line prices are checked against the PO too.
5. The approver sees the flag and decides.

Pulsify connects to SAP B1. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do:

- There is no tolerance. Any difference is flagged.
- Pulsify does not track rebates or price history.

## Common questions

### Does Business One flag an invoice price higher than the PO?

No. Business One has no price tolerance. You can build an approval template with a user query that checks your own rule.

### Is there a supplier price list check?

No. Business One has no supplier price list check.

### How do I update a price list?

Upload the new CSV. It replaces the old list and open bills are checked again the next time they are opened.
