# Supplier statement reconciliation in MYOB Acumatica for wholesalers

MYOB Acumatica has no built-in supplier statement reconciliation. Wholesalers have many suppliers, and each sends a monthly statement. The statement is the only place a missing invoice, a missing credit or a bill paid twice shows up.

## Why it matters for wholesalers

- Statements often show invoices in a different order, with finance charges, rebates and unapplied payments mixed in.
- A statement that disagrees with your records can mean you owe less or more than the ledger shows, which affects cash and who you call first.

## For wholesalers in MYOB Acumatica

- Check the automatic bills first. If Create Bill on Receipt Release is ticked, a bill is made when the receipt is released, and a landed cost bill is made when the landed cost document is released. Your ledger can hold these before the supplier statement shows them.
- Freight carriers send their own statements. Landed cost vendors are flagged with Landed Cost Vendor on the vendor, so filter the statement check to those vendors.
- Use Vendor Details (AP402000) from the More menu of a bill to open the supplier balance while you tick off the statement.

## What MYOB Acumatica does on its own

MYOB Acumatica has no supplier statement reconciliation. AP Aging and Vendor Details show what you owe, and a person ticks off each statement line by hand.

Age as of Date defaults to the current business date.

## Example

Example Carton Co sends a supplier statement showing $18,440 owing. Your ledger shows $16,640.

- Invoices on both the statement and the ledger: $16,940.00 (Match)
- Invoice 5188, on statement only: $1,500.00 (Missing from ledger, ask for a copy)
- Credit note CN-211, in ledger only: -$300.00 (Supplier has not applied the credit)

The $1,800 gap is the $1,500 invoice missing from the ledger plus the $300 credit the supplier has not applied. Both go back to the supplier before the next pay run.

## Common mistakes

- Paying from the statement total without checking each line against the ledger.
- Leaving credits unmatched on the statement, so the supplier collects money you are not owed.

## Common questions

### Can MYOB Acumatica reconcile a supplier statement for a wholesaler?

No, there is no statement reconciliation. Compare the statement with AP Aging set to the statement date and tick off each line. For stock suppliers, check automatic bills made on receipt and landed cost bills, which can post before the supplier's statement lists them.

### How often should a wholesaler reconcile supplier statements?

Monthly for every active supplier and weekly for the top 10 by spend. Match each statement line to a bill or credit note in the ledger and chase the gaps before the pay run.

### Can MYOB Acumatica match a supplier statement?

No. Run AP Aging or Vendor Details and tick off each statement line by hand. Ask your MYOB partner if a separate add-on is used for statement checks in your setup.
