How to put a disputed bill on hold in Xero

Short answer

Xero Central does not describe a dispute or hold status for bills. Leave the bill in Draft or Awaiting approval, add a note with the reason and set a planned payment date to track it.

Words Xero uses

  • Awaiting approval. A bill that has been submitted and is waiting for someone with approval rights.

The Pulsify way

  1. Forward the invoice to Pulsify. It flags price and quantity differences against the PO and possible duplicates.
  2. If you disagree with the bill, reject it with a reason. The reason is saved with the bill.
  3. When the corrected invoice or credit note arrives, forward it and approve it.
