A partial delivery is when a supplier delivers and bills only part of a purchase order, so the PO stays open with a balance.
Before you start
- Inventory Add-On Module
The Sage 100 Contractor way
Where to find it: 12-Inventory > 12-4 Purchase Order Receipts
- Open 12-4 Purchase Order Receipts and enter the quantity received (and serial numbers for serialised parts).
- On saving, Sage creates a payable invoice with status 2-Review or 3-Dispute and posts it to the ledger using the PO accounts.
- When the vendor invoice arrives, recall and adjust the invoice.
Limits in Sage 100 Contractor
- The receipts window only takes quantities, not prices.
The Pulsify way
- Sync your open POs from Sage 100 Contractor to Pulsify.
- Forward each payable invoice. Pulsify links it to the purchase order and matches lines on quantity and unit price.
- Pulsify shows how much of the purchase order is claimed, what this payable invoice adds and what is left.
- Pulsify flags a line that bills more than what is left on the purchase order.
- Approve. The payable invoice is created in Sage 100 Contractor against the purchase order.

What Pulsify does not do here
- Pulsify matches to within 1 cent and has no tolerance setting.
- A lower quantity than the purchase order line is not flagged, because partial delivery is normal.
Common mistakes
- Trying to key prices on the receipt.
- Leaving the receipt-created invoice unchanged when the vendor invoice arrives.
