Matching a bill to a purchase order means checking the invoice lines against what was ordered (and sometimes received) before you pay. What is purchase order?

Before you start

  • Inventory Add-On Module for receipts

The Sage 100 Contractor way

Where to find it: 4-2 Payable Invoices/Credits (Order# box); 12-4 Purchase Order Receipts

  1. In 4-2 Payable Invoices/Credits type the Invoice# and the purchase order in Order# and press Enter. The grid fills from the PO.
  2. The PO Lookup in the Job Costs grid first shows the cost codes on that PO.
  3. Turn on the Over PO warning to compare the invoice total with the PO balance (see T12).
  4. Save.

Limits in Sage 100 Contractor

  • Order# and Subcontract# are mutually exclusive on one invoice.
  • Receipts (12-4) need the Inventory Add-On Module and create a payable invoice in Review or Dispute.
