An aged payables report lists what you owe each supplier, grouped by how overdue each bill is. What is accounts payable?
The SYSPRO way
Where to find it: Program List > Accounts Payable > Reports > AP Aged Analysis
- Open AP Aged Analysis.
- Choose Detail or Summary.
- Choose ageing by financial month or by invoice date.
- Run the report.
- Choose Report sequence by Supplier or Short name.
- Choose which date prints on the report: invoice date or invoice due date.
- Choose Report as of: Current period, Previous period 1 or Previous period 2.
- Choose Local currency or Foreign currency. For local you can convert at the rate at entry time or at the current rate.
- Select the branches and currency, then send the output through SYSPRO Reporting Services.
Limits in SYSPRO
- Invoice-date ageing uses period end dates set in AP Setup.
- Report as of offers only the current period and two prior periods, not a free date.
- Zero balance invoices only print if they became zero in the current month.
Good to know in SYSPRO
- Future-dated invoices fall into the Current column. Older buckets run Prev 1 and then Before Prev 2.
- In local currency a foreign supplier's lines show in their own currency but the supplier total shows in local currency. Add the ForCurrInvBal element in Design Report to show the total in the foreign currency.
- SYSPRO describes the result as typical input to a Cash Flow Statement.
Common mistakes
- Choosing invoice-date ageing without setting the period end dates in AP Setup.
- Running Summary when you need invoice-level detail to chase a supplier.
