A supplier price check compares the unit price on each bill line with the price you agreed, so overcharges are caught before you pay.
What Sage 100 Contractor does on its own
No agreed unit price check was found. The nearest control is the Over PO warning, which compares the invoice total with the PO balance using a flat amount or percent tolerance. It does not look at line prices.
- Total-level check only.

Setting it up in Sage 100 Contractor
Where to find it: 4-2 Payable Invoices/Credits > Set Over PO Warning; 4-4 Vendors > Vendor purchase order warnings
- Open 4-2 Payable Invoices/Credits and choose Set Over PO Warning.
- Choose a flat amount or Tolerance Percent of the PO subtotal less the cancelled amount.
- Pick the message type: warning only, or do not allow the invoice to post.
- For one vendor set a different warning on the 4-4 Vendors window. It overrides the global one.
- Compare the invoice lines to the PO lines yourself.
Good to know in Sage 100 Contractor
- Sales tax does not trigger the warning.
- An alert can also go to the Dashboard Alert Viewer if you subscribe in Alerts Manager.
- The check works against a PO balance, so invoices with no PO are not checked.
How to do it in Sage 100 Contractor
How to set a price tolerance on purchase order matching in Sage 100 Contractor
In Sage 100 Contractor, decide how far a payable invoice line may differ from the purchase order before a person must look at it. Set that limit where Sage 100 Contractor allows one and name who can pass a difference.
What Pulsify adds
- Upload the prices you agreed with a supplier as a CSV. One price list per supplier, up to 100,000 items.
- Pulsify checks the unit price on every line of that supplier's bills against the list, by item code then exact description.
- Lines priced differently or not on the list are flagged.
- If a bill is matched to a purchase order, line prices are checked against the PO too.
- The approver sees the flag and decides.

Common questions
Does Sage 100 Contractor check invoice prices against the PO?
It compares the invoice total, without sales tax, with the PO balance and can warn or block. It does not compare each line price.
Can I set a tolerance for the over PO warning?
Yes. Choose a flat amount or a Tolerance Percent of the PO subtotal less the cancelled amount.
Can one vendor have a different warning?
Yes. Set it on the 4-4 Vendors window. It overrides the global setting.
How do I update a price list?
Upload the new CSV. It replaces the old list and open bills are checked again the next time they are opened.
