Entering a supplier bill with line items means recording each row of the invoice (item, quantity, price, account and VAT) instead of one lump sum.
Before you start
- Sage 50 Accounts (UK)
The Sage 50 way
Where to find it: Suppliers > Batch invoice
- Go to Suppliers and select Batch invoice.
- Enter the supplier A/C, Date, Due on (from the supplier terms; 30 days if none), Ref, N/C (nominal code), Dept, Details, net amount and tax code.
- To split an invoice add separate lines. Lines with the same account, date and reference group together.
- Check the batch totals and press Save.

What Pulsify does not do here

Common mistakes
- Using different references on lines of one invoice, so they do not group together.
- Leaving supplier terms blank, so Due on falls back to 30 days.
