An aged payables report lists what you owe each supplier, grouped by how overdue each bill is. What is accounts payable?
Before you start
- Permission to see the A/P Aging report
The NetSuite way
Where to find it: Reports > Vendors/Payables > A/P Aging (Summary) or A/P Aging > Detail
- Go to Reports > Vendors/Payables > A/P Aging for the summary, or A/P Aging > Detail for each bill, due date and days past due.
- Set the date and filters (subsidiary in OneWorld).
- Export, print or email the report.
Limits in NetSuite
- A user with access to Accounting Preferences chooses whether bills age by due date or by transaction date.
- Bills with no Due Date do not show on aging reports.
- Debit and credit journals on the same account for the same entity do not show in the detail report.
Words NetSuite uses
- Subsidiary. A separate legal entity inside one OneWorld account.
- A/P Aging. The report listing unpaid bills by how overdue they are.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the Due Date blank on bills, so they never reach the report.
- Comparing reports without checking whether bills age by due date or transaction date.
