Importing bills from a CSV means loading many supplier bills into your accounting system from one spreadsheet instead of typing each one.
Before you start
- Accounts Payable subscription
- Bills: List, View, Edit, Add, Post (without Post imports save as drafts)
The Sage Intacct way
Where to find it: Accounts Payable > All > Bills > Import
- Go to Accounts Payable > All > Bills and select Import.
- Select Download template. Always use a fresh template because it is built from your dimensions and custom fields.
- Fill in the template, keep the header names unchanged and save as CSV.
- Choose live or historical transactions, set the date format and upload the file.
- Fix any errors Intacct lists.
Limits in Sage Intacct
- Imported bill amounts must be positive.
- Header titles must match the template or the upload fails.
- Historical bills are for balances already in your opening balances.
Good to know in Sage Intacct
