Before you start

The S/4HANA way

Where to find it: Manage Business Partner Master Data

  1. Create the business partner as a supplier.
  2. Under Identification > Tax Numbers add the ABN with Tax Category AU0.
  3. Enter bank details and company code data.
  4. Sensitive field changes can be held for a second person to confirm (dual control).

Limits in S/4HANA

  • Approval of new suppliers as a full process needs Master Data Governance, a separate product.

Words S/4HANA uses

  • Business partner. The single master record for a supplier or customer in S/4HANA.
  • Company code. A legal entity with its own books.

The Pulsify way

  1. Forward the first supplier invoice to Pulsify.
  2. Pulsify flags a supplier not found in S/4HANA so you add the record with the right details.
  3. It checks the ABN against the ABR and flags an invalid ABN or one not registered for GST.
  4. It compares bank details with the supplier record and flags a mismatch.
  5. Route first bills for new suppliers to a second approver.

Pulsify connects to S/4HANA. We set up the connection for you.

What Pulsify does not do here

  • Pulsify flags. A person still confirms by phone.

Common mistakes

  • Skipping the ABN under Tax Numbers with Tax Category AU0.
  • Expecting a full approval process for new suppliers without Master Data Governance.
