Common questions

Does Business Central approve changes to supplier bank details?

Yes. Use the Vendor Bank Account Approval Workflow template. New bank accounts must be sent for approval before use. It routes the account for review. A callback to the supplier is still your own process.

Does it check the ABN on the ABN register?

No live ABN lookup was found. An algorithm checks the number format on the vendor card. The VAT number check service in the help is the EU VIES service.

What is the most common invoice fraud?

A fake email asking you to update a supplier's bank details. The next real invoice is then paid to the fraudster's account.
