Splitting a bill across jobs or cost centres means giving each line of one supplier invoice its own job, department or project so costs land where they belong. In Sage 200 you do it with analysis codes and cost centres.

The Sage 200 way
Where to find it: Purchase Ledger / Purchase Order Processing (UK product)
- Enter the invoice with several nominal analysis lines.
- Give each line a nominal code, cost centre and department.
Words Sage 200 uses
- Nominal code. The general ledger account number.
- Cost centre. A nominal analysis tag for a department or area.
The Pulsify way
- Forward the supplier's invoice to your Pulsify address. Pulsify reads every row as its own line.
- Review each line and set its account. Line-item coding learns from how that supplier was coded before.
- Approve. The purchase invoice is created in Sage 200 with one line per row.

What Pulsify does not do here
- Pulsify does not split a line by percentage. A shared cost needs separate lines with set amounts.
- Tagging a line to analysis codes and cost centres is done in Sage 200 unless the line already carries it.
Common mistakes
- Giving a line a nominal code but no cost centre or department, so the split cannot be reported.
- Entering an order-based invoice in the Purchase Ledger instead of Purchase Order Processing.
