The Kinetic way
Where to find it: ECM AP Automation
- Invoices are captured into ECM from scanners, copiers or an email inbox through the IDC Email Input Client, then post to Kinetic
What to watch in Kinetic
- Capture is not part of core AP. ECM AP Automation and Intelligent Data Capture are add-ons.
- Invoices arrive in ECM first and post to Kinetic after.
- The ECM fact sheet lists capture from scanners and copiers. The IDC Email Input Client can take invoices from an inbox once it is bought. Ask your partner to confirm this for your version.
- Ask what the add-on does when the same email is read twice.
The Pulsify way
- Each company gets its own Pulsify forwarding address. Ask suppliers to send invoices there, or forward them yourself.
- Pulsify reads each attachment and works out if it is an invoice, a credit note or a statement.
- Pulsify finds the supplier in Kinetic and codes each line.
- Review and approve. The AP invoice is created in Kinetic with the file attached.

Example Hardware Wholesale gets 60 supplier invoices a week. Email capture needs the ECM or Intelligent Data Capture add-ons. Core AP does not read an inbox.

Captured invoices arrive in ECM and then post to Kinetic. The hand keyed ones follow the normal AP Invoice Entry route.
