Invoice fraud checks look for fake invoices and changed bank details before money leaves your account.
What IFS Cloud does on its own
IFS has a Blocked for Payment flag on the supplier. There is no standard approval of bank detail changes, so customers set Blocked for Payment through custom events when a payment address changes. The ABN is held in Document Tax Information.
- No standard bank change approval
What you need in IFS Cloud
- Custom events for bank change alerts
- Supplier page access
Setting it up in IFS Cloud
Where to find it: Supplier > Payment; Blocked for Payment; Supplier > Address > Document Tax Information
- Create the supplier and add address details.
- Enter the ABN in Supplier > Address > Document Tax Information or Association No.
- In the Payment sub menu set the payment method.
- Set Blocked for Payment until checks are done.
- Use a custom event to block payment when a payment address changes.
Good to know in IFS Cloud
- IFS does not check the ABN against ABN Lookup.
- A mistyped ABN is only caught when you compare it with ABN Lookup yourself.
- The country guide describes no approval step for a new supplier.

What Pulsify adds
- Pulsify compares the bank details on each invoice with the supplier's past invoices and your contact in IFS Cloud.
- It checks the supplier ABN and flags one that is invalid or not registered for GST.
- It flags a tax ID that differs from the supplier record or is missing.
- If an email fails sender checks and the sender's domain enforces it, Pulsify holds the email and warns you.
- Each document gets one signal in the queue: Needs fix, Check or Ready.
Pulsify connects to IFS Cloud. We set up the connection for you. More about invoice fraud checks in Pulsify.
What Pulsify does not do
- Flags are warnings. Call the supplier on a number you already have before paying new bank details.
- Pulsify never moves money.
