MYOB ACUMATICA

Supplier price checks for MYOB Acumatica

Short answer

MYOB Acumatica covers part of supplier price checks on its own. Pulsify checks every line against the purchase order or a price list you upload for each vendor.

Last checked

A supplier price check compares the unit price on each bill line with the price you agreed, so overcharges are caught before you pay.

What MYOB Acumatica does on its own

MYOB Acumatica holds agreed supplier prices on Vendor Price Worksheets (AP202010), and the prices apply on orders. With Bill Against Commitments set to Validate with Warning in Purchase Orders Preferences (PO101000), it warns when a bill line's unit cost, amount or quantity is above the order line. The warning does not block the bill.

  • The price warning compares the bill with the order line, not the price worksheet, and does not block the bill.

What Pulsify adds

  1. Upload the prices you agreed with a supplier as a CSV. One price list per supplier, up to 100,000 items.
  2. Pulsify checks the unit price on every line of that supplier's bills against the list, by item code then exact description.
  3. Lines priced differently or not on the list are flagged.
  4. If a bill is matched to a purchase order, line prices are checked against the PO too.
  5. The approver sees the flag and decides.

Common questions

Can I upload a supplier price list into MYOB Acumatica?

Yes. A vendor price worksheet lets you add rows by hand or upload prices from Excel. Release it so the prices become effective. Promotional prices can carry an expiry date.

Does it warn when a bill is above the agreed price?

Yes, if Bill Against Commitments is set to Validate with Warning. It compares the bill with the order line, which carries the worksheet price. It warns but does not stop the bill.

How do I update a price list?

Upload the new CSV. It replaces the old list and open bills are checked again the next time they are opened.
