Line item coding means giving every line on a supplier bill its own GL account, tax rate or tax type and tracking, not one code for the whole bill.
What Kinetic does on its own
AP lines carry a GL account, and jobs can be charged on PO lines. For an expense with no PO, users enter a Miscellaneous invoice with a Misc line for each item. A supplier specific GL control code can supply the expense account for all of that supplier's lines.

What Pulsify adds
- Pulsify reads each invoice into individual line items.
- Each line gets its own account and its own tax code.
- The account comes from how that supplier's past bills were coded. The tax code comes from the rate printed on the line.
- You check every value on an editable review screen before approval.
- Bulk edit sets the account and tracking on every line of one invoice, or on many invoices at once.

Common questions
Can I code a rent bill with no PO in Kinetic?
Yes. Enter a Miscellaneous invoice and add a Misc line with a description and amount that matches the header amount.
Can I change the GL account on a posted invoice?
AP Posted Invoice Update changes only a few fields such as comments, terms, due date and the hold flag. Wrong accounts are fixed with a correcting entry.
Can a supplier have a default expense account?
Yes. A supplier specific GL control code in Supplier Maintenance can supply the expense account for all lines of that supplier. Check the exact menu path in your version.
Do I need to set up coding rules?
No. Pulsify learns from how your team coded past invoices for each supplier. A coding note in the forwarding email is followed first.
